Yesterday was a strange day.
Did a bit of admin work in the morning at varsity. Then joined my mate and his chemistry/geology post-grad friends to play in their university staff and post-grad students soccer league match. At 1pm. Outdoors. Not a cloud in the sky. The last few days have been, like, fucking hot. Summer is officially here. But the thing about Durban is it gets super humid
- oh come on! I just typed for 15minutes of text post and the draft didn’t save! -
Slipped during tackle, arm braced my fall and hyper-extended elbow slightly. Slid to intercept ball, grazed up my leg, gave away a foul, didn’t know rule about no sliding. Played left wing back, had fun, didn’t die from heat stroke and bad knees held up nicely. Ice pack on elbow ever few hours since. And right now.
Afternoon beachfront coffee and food with the bf. Storm developed over nearby bluff/harbour area. Thunder and crazy lightning. Car alarms going off kinda crazy.
University library for the evening. Campus I don’t usually go to. Quietest library I’ve ever been in. Freakishly so, awkward. Laptop and wifi. Procrastinated (tumblr, sports news, grooveshark, etc). Randomly found article/post on waitbutwhy.com about procrastination. It’s really good. Totally spot on. It has a monkey in it. I know that monkey well.It helped, I did some work on my thesis.
Bf’s place for the night. In bed, watching America’s Next Top Model. Season 19. Leila is the bombdiggidy. Then super humid night. Plus mosquitos and barking dogs.
Aaaaand tags :)
