Watched two movies today I’d never actually got round to seeing before; Dirty Dancing and Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Enjoyed both. Observations n thoughts on DD:
- Baby’s mother is the grandmother on Gilmore Girls… She’s aged really well.
- I think I get why Swayze was a hottie back then
O’s n T’s on SP vs TW:
- I dig films that aren’t afraid to be different and don’t take themselves too seriously
- Fav line “I’m in lesbians with you”

I love good comedies and good music, and im obsessed with mash-up’s. I finally watched Pitch Perfect. Aca-mazeballs. x)

Watching “Love & Other Drugs”… And crying…
Shane Acker, the fellow who created and directed the post-apocalyptic animated film“9”, is now directing a live action/CG Thomas the Tank Engine film that:
“Will take place in London during World War II, and revolves around a pre-teen boy who has drifted apart from his father.”
and,
“…will have a darker, more grown-up feel than the Thomas programs preschoolers watch.”
If this film in any way resembles or draws from the darker elements of the original books by Reverend Wilbert Awdry (see above illustrations), and if handled properly, this movie has the potential to be as awesome of a family fantasy film as Disney’s version of The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe.
The teaser image alone is a very good sign. Unlike the current CG rendered TV series, in which the trains look like giant toys, this model of Thomas appears to be mechanically accurate to an actual London Brighton & South Cost Railway E2 tank engine, with realistic touches like leaving the wheels unpainted, and including the rivets holding the frame together.At the very least, it will be much better than THIS.
