Finding out one of your friend’s weird, sexual kinks:

Is anything as ghetto in Africa like Die Antwoord music videos?

Depending on what you mean by “ghetto”, yes…. And more. Half of Africa is ghetto, haha.

But… Die Antwoord are South African. One of 58 (i think) countries in the continent of Africa. So you’re mostly seeing SA in their vids.

how is it being gay in South Africa? What is it like for LGBT people in South Africa?

Good question.

It’s different, like it is in most countries, in the urban vs rural areas.

But in general, not too bad. Same sex marriage, adoption is legal. People can be out with no real fuss in their day to day lives. Most cities have gay clubs, bars, LGBTQ centres, events, etc.

There’s a lot of bigotry and backward-ness around, but its usually not aggressive or in your face. Mostly related to lack of exposure and education. There is hate crimes though, that’s for sure.

Most urban/educated folk don’t have an issue with LGBTQ people.

If you’re interested in a more in-depth and extensive idea, google is your friend.
